What is the purpose of the competition?

There is a shortage of children coming out of school with a focus/interest on science and math. This shortage is already being felt in industries such as aerospace. We need to find ways to encourage and inspire children in these areas.

Anousheh Ansari is holding her first WHAT IF? student competitions to help encourage and further develop the interest of student’s with a current interest in space and to possibly foster and motivate other young people who are just acquiring an interest in space.

How can you help?

You can help by encouraging and guiding your students/children to participate and think creatively and out of the box.

We have also put together some additional fun and information materials that you may find helpful in teaching/guiding or to just provide to your students/children to encourage the ones that are interested.
